That's how far apart the NHL and the union are are what percentage of revenues ought to be paid to the players. No, the big issue - the ONLY issue - is the NHLPA's refusal to guarantee that amount or any amount. When you look at the details of the two proposals, the vast majority of players are better off under the NHL's plan but the NHLPA isn't about doing the best for the most. It's about doing the best for those with the most, and there's no doubt the big name guys will get hurt.
Shame and it's not the NHL's fault that the season is on the brink.
